Classic Kobialka!
Reviewing some amazing recordings from Daniel Kobialka’s past today. Some of these pieces are going to get a release, so stay tuned!
Holy moly! Time for updates!
Where to begin? So many projects have come through the doors. We’ve been busy with a bunch of different artists… some local, some not so local. On the local scene, you should check out Garrett T. Capps and Los Lonely Hipstaz. On the not so local scene, The Foreign Resort continue to tear things up across Europe and the States. Daniel Kobialka is putting the finishing touches on some original Porgy and Bess arrangements by James Balentine… this album is sure to be a doozy once completed!
More to come soon!
Studio Upgrades!
We’re updating our front end! Today we began the arduous task of upgrading our computer and adding a new audio interface. Our current Mac is being replaced by a little black garbage can (Mac Pro 3.7 Quad Core) and our interface has turned into a glorious Apogee Symphony! We have other news to share so stay tuned!
Tons of work!
So what have we been up to you ask??? How about… The Society of Rockets, Saarnines, Royal Punishier, Necromonkey, The Foreign Resort, Bel Cuore Quartet, Daniel Kobialka, Teddy Wilson, Dorothy Donegan, and oh how the list goes on. We also have a new staff engineer that calls himself Brant Sankey (pretty sure that’s what his parents called him). Brant has been a local fixture in San Antonio and Central Texas for many years now; maybe you’ve seen him back Nicolette Good, or heard his engineering work with The Please Help or The Rosedale Highs??? Anyhow, our work continues to be broadcast around the world. Looking for help on your next project? Hit us up here. More to come!
The latest from the Saarinens!
Howdy citizens! The latest from The Saarinens has finally been released! Mastered at Wonder Of Sound by Chris Cline for vinyl and CD/digital.
Oh Geez! Updates Anyone?
It’s been awhile since we’ve checked in… is that bad, or good? I guess it depends. We have a lot of updates to make, and a couple of specials in the works as well. Seeing how we are becoming one of San Antonio’s brighter spots in the recording community, we should push our growth a bit further with some limited special rates. Stay tuned for more!
Light In the Attic Records!
Our own Daniel Kobialka has a track featured on the new Light in the Attic Records release, I Am the Center. This beautifully packaged, 3 LP set is available directly from the label or your favorite record store. Take a look at what Pitchfork had to say about the collection here!
Ever heard of Teddy Wilson?
Well you will soon enough. Our own Chris Cline just finished restoring an old jazz performance of his that’s expected to hit the shelves and digital retailers the first quarter of 2014 for the first time ever! Stay tuned for more details. In the meant time click on Teddy to be redirected to his Wikipedia entry!
